Biography
Jason Eisdorfer is an energy policy advisor with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, currently working on coal transition, resilience, offshore wind, and grid modernization projects. Prior to PNNL, Jason was an independent consultant concentrating on energy and climate change matters, representing local and state government, NGOs, and an offshore wind developer.
Previously, Jason was the Oregon Public Utility Commission’s Utility Program Director where managed and established the policy directions for the program staff of the PUC and he advised the Commissioners on regulatory and legislative issues. Previously, he served as the GHG Policy Advisor to Bonneville Power Administration and prior to that he served as legal counsel and energy program director of the Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon (CUB).
Jason has co-authored legislation related to electric utility operations and to climate change, including the Oregon Renewable Energy Act and the Climate Change Integration Act. Jason received his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law and his BA from the University of Chicago.
