Biography

Angela Aneiros is an Associate Professor of Law at Lewis & Clark Law School. She specializes in the fields of business law, corporate law, commercial law, and ethics. Drawing on more than fifteen years of experience as a practitioner and as a scholar of business law and ethics, Professor Aneiros’ research focuses on the intersection of law and corporate governance. Her scholarship has been published in leading journals, including Baylor Law Review, Berkeley Business Law Journal, American Law Review, Stetson Law Review, and Texas Journal of Civil Liberties & Civil Rights, among others. Professor Aneiros’ scholarship has attracted substantial media attention, with her insights featured in prominent outlets such as The New York Times, Bloomberg Law, Fortune Magazine, Board Agenda, The Economic Times, The Hill, and NBC News.

Prior to joining Lewis & Clark, Professor Aneiros was an Assistant Professor of Law and the Co-Director of the Center of Law, Ethics, & Commerce at Gonzaga University School of Law. Additionally, she was a Lecturer of Business Law & Ethics at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. She also served as a supervising attorney at Indiana University Student Legal Services, a clinical program for IU Maurer School of Law students, representing and advising IUB students.

Professor Aneiros earned her JD from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and her BA in Business Administration–Prelaw from Michigan State University. She brings extensive legal experience as a trial attorney in Illinois and Indiana, where she represented individuals, businesses, and government entities in both federal and state courts. In addition to being licensed in Illinois and Indiana, she is also licensed in the Northern District of Illinois and the state of Washington. Professor Aneiros continues to maintain an active legal practice focused on business and commercial law, advising clients in matters such as business negotiations, asset purchase agreements, insurance claims, and contracts. She also serves as a consultant and expert witness in litigation matters.
