Asylum Clinic with PCC CLEAR Clinic

ISG is pleased to announce the third annual asylum clinic hosted in conjunction with the PCC CLEAR Clinic. Two days of the clinic will be devoted to a deep-dive in asylum law, followed by two days working with clients on asylum applications under attorney supervision and conducting legal research for a memo on climate justice and asylum. Lunch will be provided for all 4 days. No prerequisites or prior experience is required.

Immigration Law Career Panel

Join the Immigration Student Group for our Immigration Law Career Panel on Wednesday October 18th, at 12:10pm in Room 1! Five local immigration attorneys will join us to share their career paths, what they love about their jobs and their biggest challenges, and advice for law students considering immigration law. The panelists’ experience includes working for the immigration court, representing asylum seekers, crimmigration, 9th Circuit appeals, and detention defense. RSVP required; please RSVP here. Banh mi provided for the first 20 students who RSVP. This event satisfies the 2L career exploration requirement!

Radical Queer Legal Studies Speaker Series presents: A Panel on Immigration

NLG of Lewis & Clark Law School, NLG of Portland, and OutLaw are thrilled to welcome Ann Garcia (she/her) of the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild in conversation with Jess Olave ’23 (she/her) and Leni Tupper (she/her) of PCC Clear Clinic for a panel discussion and Q&A on the topic of immigration moderated by Natalie Webb ’23 (she/her) as part of the second annual Radical Queer Legal Studies Speaker Series.

The event will feature a panel discussion of 60 minutes followed by a Q&A, and will be live and recorded. Food and soft drinks will be provided. Please RSVP so that we know how much food to provide.
