African Commission of Human and Peoples’ Rights

The African Charter established the African Commission of Human and Peoples’ Rights. The Commission has three main functions: the protection of human rights, the promotion of human rights, and the interpretation of the African charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Through the African Union (AU) there are paid positions and the ACHPR also provides unpaid internship opportunities.
