Biography

Kaiti Bestor is an Oregon attorney and graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School, where she earned her JD along with an Animal Law Certificate. During law school, Kaiti served as an Associate Editor for the Animal Law Review and held multiple leadership roles with the Lewis & Clark Animal Legal Defense Fund Student Chapter, including serving as Co-Director for the 2023–2024 academic year. Kaiti gained professional experience as a Law Clerk for the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s Criminal Justice Program and as a member of the Global Law Alliance for Animals and the Environment Clinic. In 2023, Kaiti was selected to present her research on banning male chick culling in the egg industry at the Animal Legal Defense Fund Student Convention and was honored with the Center for Animal Law Studies’ Animal Law Leadership Award in 2024.
