Sharon is an LLM in Animal Law student for the academic year 2025/2026. She is licensed to practice law in Kenya and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society. Sharon has work experience in civil, criminal and appellate litigation, land administration and governance and food security. She has a keen interest in achieving the targets of SDG 15 and SDG 17.
Sharon’s career interests include the protection of the welfare and rights of farmed animals in an age of diminished resources, to promote the use of legal history to address current hindrances in achieving animal rights, the gentrification and urbanization of rural areas, exclusion of animal safety in peace processes, climate change, international development and cross-cultural communication. Sharon seeks to use her experience in legal history to address and advocate for the rights and welfare of farmed animals by establishing an animal history museums, conducting animal rights clinics and founding a trust in her home county to advocate for animal rights.
