Online MSL Candidate ’26

Leonie Arter was born and raised in a small coastal town in the UK. She moved to Los Angeles in her early twenties and now lives with her 10Ib terrier mix named Emma in Santa Monica, California.

Leonie’s animal advocacy work began seven years ago when she started volunteering to transport animals from LA’s overcrowded animal shelters to sanctuaries and rescue groups throughout Southern California. Over the past few years, Leonie’s desire to have a greater impact in improving the lives of animals has deepened leading her to pursue an MSL in Animal Law.

Leonie holds a master’s in marriage, and family therapy and is currently working on her supervised clinical training hours to become a licensed marriage family therapist.
