Dr. Karen Woodard is a Dog/Cat General Practice Veterinarian in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. She is passionate about providing quality medicine to elevate the health and safety of animals. These efforts have brought her to spending time with our Federal Legislators in Washington DC advocating for sensible Animal-related legislation alongside the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
After graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, Dr. Woodard has had a varied career from Associate Veterinarian to Hospital Medical Director to Regional Director across multiple states. She received her MBA from Texas A&M Mays Business School in 2020 to help improve the delivery of care while continuously developing other veterinarians and progressively elevating veterinary teams. Through it all, her guiding philosophy has always been improving the lives of animals, whether delivering care directly to patients, improving access to care, or fighting for the best legislation to protect both Animals and the public.
Karen is thrilled to become an even better Advocate for animals through increasing her knowledge of law. She hopes to use this knowledge to better influence the future of Animal Law.
