Eileen graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2009. During law school, Eileen competed on the Lewis & Clark Jessup International Law Moot Court team and she continues to return as a judge for the school team and the regional and national competitions. Eileen practiced immigration law for more than a decade, beginning her career as a judicial extern at the Portland Immigration Court, and moving onto roles at immigration nonprofits in Portland and Arizona after graduation. She then went on to create her own solo immigration law practice in Portland. Eileen managed her solo practice for seven years and was very active in volunteer leadership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Eileen transitioned out of direct legal services and into project management roles before joining Career Services.
Outside of work, Eileen enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and camping in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
For students, Eileen is a primary career counselor for both private and public employment options. She works with the Career Services team to coordinate career events and programming, plan and run recruitments, and create opportunities to expand knowledge of the varied opportunities within the law and the importance of cultivating a strong network.
For employers, Eileen is happy to work with employers from all sectors and in any stage of the recruitment process, and can connect interested employers with our students for information sessions and events, or through job postings, resume collects, pop-up recruitments and formal recruitment events.
For alumni, Eileen provides career advising well beyond school and is happy to connect alumni to students in networking and career exploration opportunities. We also love to bring our alumni back to campus to speak with students about their paths to practice and share their experiences.
