In joining the ’24 MSL program, Sydney is working to expand her scope of impact and pursue her lifelong dedication to animal rights and advocacy by integrating a comprehensive understanding of animal law into her previous professional background in social work and advocacy.
Sydney has been serving runaway and homeless youth in the Portland metro area in various capacities since 2015. After earning a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pacific University in 2021, she went on to teach 6th grade at a Title I school in Shelton, WA.
Developing and refining her expertise in animal law and justice, Sydney intends to devote the same deeply passionate energy and professional skill to protecting vulnerable nonhuman animals that she devoted to vulnerable youth for the past eight years.
Center for Animal Law Studies is located in Wood Hall on the Law Campus.
