I am currently Oregon’s Brain Injury Advocate Coordinator, a position recommended by the Governor’s Task Force on Traumatic Brain Injury (2018 Report). I also sit on the International Advisory Board of WildAid, an environmental organization dedicated to reducing the demand for endangered species around the globe. I have authored or co-authored ten laws in Oregon pertaining to these two issues, including the nation’s first youth concussion Return to Play law for young athletes in 2009, Oregon’s shark fin ban in 2011, modifications to an existing anti-poaching law in 2016, and the recent creation of Oregon’s Brain Injury Resource Navigation program in 2023. I also litigated cases from the time I passed the Oregon bar in 1990 until 2018. At Lewis & Clark Law School (Class of 1990), I participated in Jessup Moot Court and worked on the International Law Journal honing the skills that have helped shape my legal career.
Lewis & Clark Law School prepared me for every aspect of my career. From passing the Bar Exam to the confidence required to pursue policy changes, none of it would have happened without LC Law.
