The resources available to students are just incredible, and the professors are so knowledgable, yet approachable. It has been amazing and truly a privilege to be a student here at L&C.

Brief Background
I have been mainly a science student for practically all my life. I majored in chemical biology as an undergrad (although I doubled majored in Latin also), then I went onto graduate schools for an MS and PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. However, during graduate school, I discovered that I really want to work in a field where I can learn about a lot of different types of science, not just one particular subject. By chance I found out about a career for scientists as patent attorneys, which is exactly what I want to do: work with a variety of new types of science and technology. Meanwhile, as an immigrant, I have always wanted to know American law better. So, I decided to apply to law school, and thanks to the support of my family, I am now a law student!
Why did you choose to attend Lewis & Clark?
I chose to attend Lewis & Clark Law because of its outstanding faculty and its extremely supportive environment. Everyone I have met at L&C has been friendly, understanding, and supportive to the students. The professors and staff genuinely want their students to succeed, and they really put in the time and effort to accomplish that. The resources available to students are just incredible, and the professors are so knowledgable, yet approachable. It has been amazing and truly a privilege to be a student here at L&C.
What is your favorite class that you’ve taken at Lewis & Clark and why?
So far I have really enjoyed contracts and torts, because these subjects are very relatable/applicable to our everyday lives.
What was the hardest thing about adjusting to law school?
So much reading!! It takes a little bit of time to getting use to the sheer amount of reading assignments.
What did you do/plan to do during the summers?
I hope to get some legal experience from an internship or externship this summer, preferably in the field of patent law.
