Chandra is a passionate animal liberationist and is committed to reshaping the ways society legally recognizes and protects animals. She has been a long-standing animal rights organizer with several animal rights groups and investigator of factory farms. She came to the Lewis & Clark Animal Law MSL program with the desire to deepen her understanding of how the legal system protects and obstructs animals’ freedoms. In 2019, she graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management to pursue a career in an animal rights organization. Chandra currently works as a campaign coordinator in PETA’s Laboratory Investigations Department where she is actively working on ending primate testing at various federally funded laboratories across the United States.
