Alice was a recipient of Lewis & Clark’s Center for Animal Law Studies’ International Ambassador LLM Scholarship. She is now working as a solicitor for Advocates for Animals, the UK’s first law firm dedicated to animal protection. Previously, she was a legal consultant for a number of animal welfare and conservation nonprofits, including the Born Free Foundation. She hopes to continue to work with organizations bringing various cases on behalf of animals. In addition, she has also lectured in animal law at the University of Essex.
“I particularly enjoyed the Animal Law Clinic, as a fantastic opportunity to learn about international animal law matters in a small class, and also various events with the dedicated ALDF student chapter. Trips outside of the classroom added meaning to the studies, such as our trip to a primate research center which involved discussion with resident scientists. CALS were incredibly helpful in organizing externships with wildlife NGOs in Kenya at the end of the course, which lead to me working with many more nonprofits in this field.”
