Nolia is an attorney in private practice at BATEY BROPHY & O’DEA, PLLC in Louisville, Kentucky. Nolia is an active litigator and concentrates her practice in the area of animal law, personal injury, and small business services. She also serves a number of small businesses as outside general counsel.
Nolia is the current chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Animal Law Section and is the past Vice Chair and Secretary of the Section. She received her law degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and her Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University. During law school, Nolia served as a Legal and Compliance Intern with Churchill Downs Incorporated and as a Legal Extern with the Internal Revenue Service’s Small Business/Self-Employed Division.
She is an outspoken advocate on animal welfare issues in Kentucky where she shares a life with three rescue dogs and two rescue cats.
