Laura Warf ’12 is a business transactions attorney at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP. Her practice focuses on providing transactional advice and strategy for food and beverage brands, restaurants, fitness companies, and other consumer businesses, particularly during periods of transformational growth. Laura’s expertise includes mergers and acquisitions transactions, supply chain contracts, trademark and copyright licensing, and general advice and counseling.
Laura has taken pleasure in assisting clients ranging from small startups to industry leaders such as Craft Brew Alliance, adidas, Agricultural Capital, and Flynn Restaurant Group, the country’s largest restaurant franchise organization. This variety of clients has allowed Laura to provide efficient, pragmatic, and precise advice to companies at all stages of growth.
Before joining Davis Wright Tremaine, Laura worked as a law clerk with the Federal Public Defender (Oregon), where she gained experience she is currently leveraging in a Louisiana case involving a prisoner given a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Laura is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in business and in the legal profession. Currently she is serving on the J.E.D.I. (Justice, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) Collaborative Task Force with others on the Davis Wright Tremaine Food and Beverage team, in order to help create systemic change in the natural products industry and within the firm itself. In her spare time, Laura enjoys coffee, reading (currently sci-fi and antiracism books), yoga, rock climbing, backpacking, and spending time with her husband and their bully pit, Mr. Boomer. She graduated summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School with her JD in 2012, and earned her BA from Linfield University in 2007.
