Nicola is currently the Policy Advisor at Four Paws in South Africa. She obtained her Animal Law LLM in 2022.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Medium in 2003, Nicola produced T.V. commercials for eleven years. She then completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2016, and, after completing articles, she was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2019. She has since established her own law firm, Nicola van Wyk Attorneys, and was also admitted as a solicitor in NSW, Australia in 2020. In 2021, she was awarded the Brooks Institute for Animal Rights Law & Policy scholarship, and is currently completing her Animal Law LLM at Lewis & Clark Law School.
