Ally McLain ’18

Ally K. McLain ’18 is an associate attorney at Davis Wright Tremaine (“DWT”) and advises and represents employers in a wide range of employment matters arising under both state and federal laws.

During law school, Ally gained practical work experience as a law clerk for Bonneville Power Administration for two years. She also worked as a legal intern for NAVEX Global where she compiled, organized, and analyzed contracts. Ally loved her experience at Lewis & Clark Law School and got involved by becoming a lead articles editor on the Lewis & Clark Law Review, a board member for the Business Law Society, and volunteered at the Low Income Bankruptcy Clinic and Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.

Prior to law school, Ally obtained a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology and initially began her career as a quality supervisor in a granola/snack bar manufacturing facility. It was this experience that caused her to pursue a legal career to provide guidance to employers at a higher level. She appreciates the privilege of being able to have a career in the law and wants to be a resource for others with the same goal.

In her free time, Ally loves spending time with her friends and family, including her husband, two children, and cats.
