Court Orders Timely Replacement of Oregon’s Water Pollution Clean-Up Plans for Temperature
Late yesterday Earthrise got a final ruling in our long-standing case, brought on behalf of Northwest Environmental Advocates (NWEA), to improve Oregon’s water pollution clean-up plans (also called TMDLs) for many of Oregon’s over-heated rivers. Judge Marco A. Hernandez put Oregon and EPA on a timely scheduled to re-do the state’s illegal temperature TMDLs. We hope this ruling paves the path for fiixing a problem that is critical to protecting Oregon’s iconic salmon and steelhead. Click here to read NWEA’s press release.
