  • Description: This course covers the main aspects of U.S. patent law. It explores the policy arguments for and against using patents as a mechanism for inducing technological innovation. The course will cover the central patentability criteria, including subject matter, novelty, nonobviousness, and adequate disclosure. We will also cover the scope of patent claims, ‎infringement, and remedies. Other important topics will include recent developments in patent law, including recent Supreme Court cases and the America Invents Act.
