• Description: This class focuses on the nuts and bolts of handling consumer protection class actions. We will address the following topics: case investigation, case development, case framing, filing, discovery, class certification, class notice, mediation, and trial. We will prioritize case development, case framing, and class certification. But we will cover all topic areas. We will also look at how arbitration clauses affect the class action device and practical alternatives in the post-Concepcion v. AT&T Mobility era.  

The class will focus on consumer fraud class actions. However, the skills and training readily apply to civil rights and employment class actions.
