For those who are unable to attend the ceremony in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed. The livestream link will be shared the week of commencement, allowing you to join and celebrate this special event remotely.

 

Day of the Ceremony Information

 

Arriving: Please plan to arrive between 10:00-10:45 am for our official 11:00 am start time. We encourage you to carpool or use a ride service, if possible, because parking will be limited. Please allow plenty of time to park in one of the four parking areas: Upper Griswold, Lower Griswold, Fir Acres, or at the Law School.

Pamplin Sports Center is located above Griswold Stadium. Please follow the signs that will lead you to Pamplin main entrance doors.

Graduating students will be lining up between 9:30-11:00 am and will be unavailable during that time for photos, etc.

Ceremony: The ceremony will last approximately two hours. Individual photos will be taken as each graduate receives their diploma and in front of a backdrop as they leave the stage. The photos will be available for purchase later.

Reception: Immediately following the ceremony, a reception will be hosted at the Law School. The reception, which will be primarily held outside, will feature desserts, cheese & crackers, and beverages. If you will be attending the reception, we encourage you to leave your car where it is parked and walk to the reception. Parking at the Law School is limited. The Children’s Commencement Ceremony will be also be held at the Law School in a classroom (follow the signs) approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the commencement ceremony.

Family Pets: We adore our dogs, cats, and other pets, but we kindly request that you leave your family pets at home the day of the commencement ceremony.
