• History & Current-Day Military Practice of Victims’ Rights Explore the US Army Special Victims’ Counsel (SVC)’s role in present-day military law, including key appellate cases, recent developments, and best practices, specifically concerning the representation of child-victims.

• The Use & Misuse of Victim Impact Statements in Military Justice Maximize the effect of a victim’s unsworn statement in court-martial sentencing procedure, and learn how victims can exercise their right to be heard in this procedure.

• Survivors of Military Sexual Assault Learn how the rights of federal status military members and state status military members differ when it comes to sexual assault survivors.
